A Proud Winner!

This Sunday 27th April we held the first ever Fun Guinea Pig Show down on the Farm. We had lots of fun and met loads of gorgeous guinea pigs and their owners. The overall Show Champion was Harry – a rather handsome fellow brought along by his proud owner Charlotte Hopkins. When she heard the news, Charlotte gave Harry a big hug to say well done, and as you can see from the picture he was a worthy winner!
There were lots of different winners in the many categories but one proved just too close to call! The Fastest Dandelion Eater category was over in a flash as all the contestants cheerfully chomped through the treat at top speed! It was so close in fact that it was called a draw and everyone took home prizes! Well done guineas!
One of the best things about the day was meeting all the owners and hearing some of the excellent names they choose for their pets. Some of my favourites were, Nibbles & Squeak, Teddy Ruxpin, Super Sandy Smith, Gloria, Malteaser, Diddle, Sniff and Scruffball! There were loads more really cool names too.
It was a very busy day but I’m already looking forward to the next Show!!
